Biography

I’m married with three kids. I graduated from D’Youville College in 1981, and started at BGH in 1981. I worked as a Nurses Aide (Sister Hospital 1979-1981), LPN and RN.


I was on strike in 1983 with the BGH RNs.

As a Union Representative, I started as a Steward, then Chief Steward before being elected to District Director (now called AVP) in 1991. I then served as Vice President in 1994, Executive Vice President in 2000 and President in 2005.  I was a BGH RN Bargaining Committee Member  in 1990, 1992, 1995, and 1998. I represented CWA during the 1998 Effects Agreement, 2000 Master Bargaining  Agreement and co-chair of the 2005 Master Bargaining. I serve as an Executive Board Member and Trustee on the Buffalo area Labor Council of the AFL - CIO.
