I Started my nursing career as a nurses aide in 1973 at MFG and went onto LPN school at Edna G. Dyett School of Practical Nursing at MFG. I worked at Deaconess from 1975-1980 as an LPN on a surgical floor, while attending E.J. Meyer School of Nursing. I started out in the Trauma Unit at ECMC from 1980-1983 then moved to New Jersey and worked at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in the combined trauma/surgical/open heart unit. I returned back to good old Buffalo to ECMC for a short while and then to the BGH where I have been for the last 25 years. My union involvement started about 15 years ago as a steward and moved to Chief. For the last 9 years I have represented the BGH RNs as an Area Vice President. I am the Mom of 3 daughters - 24, 28 and 30. Grandma to the most beautiful children in America--Cheyenne, Aaliyah and our first grandson Easton Andrew. I have been married to my best friend for the last 31 years.
