I started my career at Deaconess Hospital on the Blood Team and laboratory working mainly nights and weekends and have always appreciated the fact that I got my start in healthcare at a small Hospital. In the early 80's I moved to the Buffalo General Laboratory where I still continue to work as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. I actively campaigned to organize the Professional Bargaining unit, which I am a part of and then served as Chief Steward of the BGH Professional Bargaining unit before accepting a position as Organizing/Mobilizing director at our local. Currently I am the Multi site AVP representing the DeGraff RNs and Professionals, the Millard Professionals and the BGH Professionals.
When not representing Members, attending a rally or going to a conference on workers rights, I spend my weekends usually doing something in the city and my summers at my cottage. We are very lucky to live in an area where people will help each other out at a moments notice and the ability to cross the border and experience another country is only minutes away!
