Local 1168 represents the Registered Nurses, technical workers, and some professionals at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, one of Kaleida Health’s hospitals in the Western New York region. These workers have been on their journey for over a decade to become members of Local 1168. Today is a joyous day that Local 1168 is celebrating alongside our new union sisters and brother. These workers are enthusiastic that today marks the day they are now standing shoulder to shoulder with 4,000 other members of CWA at Kaleida Health.
The entire membership of Local 1168 congratulates our new union sisters and brother for holding steady and joining our family today. Local 1168 became even stronger and there will only be more to come as we continue to organize to build our local’s power for workers’ rights and as advocates for the patients and the community we serve.
